Why I'm in College

College

I'm in college mainly because I just recently finished my time in the military and one of the incentives of doing time in the military is a GI bill. Because of this GI bill I can now afford going to college. Because of that I was very interested in furthering my ideal careers through a degree. I'm interested in becoming a police officer and also a personal trainer, so I am in college to collect further knowledge and degrees in these jobs. I also feel that being as old as I am I still have time to figure out exactly what I want to do in my life and I feel college will expand my interest and knowledge in different fields and varieties of opportunities. And while doing that earn a degree in these various paths of possible careers. Once I acquire the pre-requisites for my degree paths I plan on transferring to a four year institution and receiving the most knowledge I can to become the best in my career fields as possible. Also I thought college would be an interesting change in life and a more laid back opportunity than what I was previously occupied in. I think school is the backbone of a great outside workforce and did not want to pass my opportunity to be part of something as great as the American dream of school, work and freedom. Furthermore I am in college to obtain knowledge and a degree to make the best of my future life for me and one day a family. And as always strive to be better than my parents and their parents before them.

Welcome to college! It is a bit different than the military, but the discipline and work ethic you've learned will help you for sure.

As the semester goes on, please let me know what I can do to help make the transition easier.

    Thanks!
